In 2025 we are being hosted at the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst in Sussex. An hour outside London, it’s a short bus or taxi journey from Haywards Heath and Crawley train stations.

Metrobus will be providing a free shuttle bus between Haywards Heath and Wakehurst for Content Rising.

How to get there

Walking directions

Join the organised Slow Ways walk, hosted by Dan Raven-Ellison (Slow Ways) and Tamsin Bishton (Wilsome). We’ll meet at the entrance to Haywards Heath train station at 7am and take the Slow Ways route to our gathering at Wakehurst. More information will be provided when you book your ticket.

A free bus service will run from Haywards Heath train station to our venue at Wakehurst. Provided by event supporters, Metrobus.

Wakehurst is on the B2028, south of Turners Hill and north of Ardingly.

  • From London, take the M25 then M23, leave at Junction 10, turn left onto the A264

  • On the A264 go straight over first two roundabouts, turn right at next roundabout, onto the B2028

  • Wakehurst is on the right after Turners Hill

  • On approaching Wakehurst please follow signage rather than relying on your Sat Nav. Parking information (Wakehurst)
