Let us know what you need
Content Rising is an event where everyone is welcome. We are committed to ensuring that accessibility is prioritised in the design of the event and in the experience for people on the day.
This page provides details of the measures we are able to take to make Content Rising accessible. We are keen to learn from you what we can do to meet your needs. Let us know what you need by emailing info@wilsome.co.uk

Accessing our venue at Wakehurst
There will be a free, fully accessible, bus service available to travel between Haywards Heath train station and Wakehurst. The shuttle service will run three times in the morning and twice at the end of the day (see timetable on the Find us page). If you want to let us know of specific accessibility needs for the bus please contact us.
There is accessible parking available at Wakehurst close to the entrance for people with accessibility needs. Please email us if you would like us to reserve one of these spaces. info@wilsome.co.uk
The pathways to our venue are wide and well paved. Content Rising is happening in a large tent located close to the Millennium Seed Bank Buildings. This is a five minute journey from the main entrance of Wakehurst.
We can offer a volunteer to support you to navigate your arrival. Please contact us to request this. info@wilsome.co.uk
We can provide a wheelchair at the entrance of Wakehurst. Please contact us if you would like us to reserve one for your use at Content Rising. info@wilsome.co.uk
Accessible toilets in the Millennium Seed Bank are available for exclusive use to everyone who is coming to Content Rising. There are several other toilet locations in the site which are also accessible. Please note, Wakehurst does not currently have any toilets with a hoist or bench.
Accessing talks, panels and workshops
The main speakers tent will have soft mat flooring to make the space more accessible for anyone with mobility issues.
We will have accessible spaces reserved close to entrances to the tent. Please contact us if you would like to reserve one of these spaces.
Talks and panels will be amplified and we are able to provide access via sound loop and a BSL interpreter on request. Please let us know if you need this kind of support.
A variety of workshops are available with different options for those who have specific needs. Some workshops will be hosted as seated events in classroom settings with amplified sound and the option for BSL interpreters and a sound loop if you need this kind of support.
Walking workshops will take place at a slow pace and will stay on wide, paved pathways. If you would like to take part in a specific workshop and have questions about how we can meet your accessibility needs please contact us.
