Lira is known as the “urban wildlife queen” of Instagram - you probably already follow her as @outsidewithlira. She’s a Ranger with London Wildlife Trust, a birder, and a passionate advocate for urban environmentalism.

She’ll be joining the When Youth Voices Rise panel, which starts our day and moves us into our first theme to explore: the power of all of us. Hosted by Chantelle Lindsay, Lira will share her experiences of becoming a conservationist and wildlife expert, starting right from the early days of her connection with nature from childhood.  

She’s faced challenges and barriers along the way - at school, at uni, getting her first job in conservation - but her story is one to inspire any young person looking to find their way into a wildlife focused career. We can’t wait to hear her tell it.
